Laz, Quite true, re the hazards of rain and flooding in April while traveling
California Highway 1, but the same can be said of all major Nannyland
highways and byways--the worse hazard, I think, largely because the
drivers on the major highways and byways are and remain
dangerously complacent.

Also not mentioned by either of us is the frequent and lengthy delays which can occur due to construction on California Highway 1--Cal-Trans looking out for us and our comfort and benefit (according to Nannyland). Hope springs eternal that Cal-Trans does not ruin the rugged beauty of California Highway 1.

AND . . . I found much beauty in Oregon. So there! <g> - Holly

Thanks. I would have thought that WA & OR would have more rugged beauty than CA.
