Of the candidates in the race, did anybody endorse Ron Paul? Or Thompson? Or Guiliani? Or Huckabee? No, they endorsed the guy they expected would give them a job, McCain.

Your perception of the ads was different than mine. IT is possible that different ads were targeted for different markets. The Great Plains region is not as jaded as the coasts so often the most negative ads never make it here.

Yes a few did endorse Romney, but not much said in the media. Romney never broke the 11th commandment. Pointing out honest differences is not speaking badly of your opposition. Reagan did the same against Bush as I recall, but he did it in a more elagent way. He would start out with "Well there you go again".
