This is another case where there are two distinct and opposing views. The first says that Hillary's negatives put a ceiling on her potential vote total, plus they mobilize wavering Republicans against her.

The other view is that she has been thru the wars of the 90's, and is best positioned to fight the next round and win.

Both have a certain amount of "proof" but ultimately, which will prove true is a matter of assumption.

<<<She has to win an election where republicans get to vote too.>>>

She won in New York for her senate seat re-election with 63% of the vote. That is a landslide in anyones reckoning.

She had a lot of negatives going into New York, but New Yorkers got to know her and saw the work that she was doing.

New York voters are a pretty savvy bunch.

As they say, "if you can make it in New York, you can make it anywhere...".

I don't think you get my point. She has to win an election where republicans get to vote too.

Not only that, she has to be able to govern if she wins. All that time that Bill was being impeached he couldn't govern. Too much distraction, too little cooperation. We can't afford any more of that. I understand how it really grates to positively reinforce the impeachers and their cohort, but it is what it is.
