Gave up Globalstar? ‘Buy Brazil’, says legendary investor Jim Slater in the latest issue of The Investor’s Chronicle. It’s cheaper than both China and India.

As he winds down his mining interests in Galahad Gold, Mr Slater is going into agricultural commodities on account of population growth, new BRIC affluence bringing improved diets, biofuels, and multi year low stocks for some cereals and climate change.

What better place than Brazil, he says. It has the most agricultural land and the best water table. Not to mention lots of minerals, oil and significant ethanol production produced more effectively from sugar cane.
