I agree that the ads are misleading. That isn't much of a shock. He is a real doctor. The MD makes him a doctor. The license is just if he wanted to practice instead of inventing artificial organs. My gues is that, if he rowed like that guy on tv, he wouldn't have any cholesterol problem.

BTW, he is married to Marilyn Vos Savant, the smartest woman in the world. It was her column in "Parade" where you saw that letter from Michael Burke in San Diego.

zeus, as i'm sure you know, the funny thing is that cholesterol is, frankly, a pretty poor measure of one's future risk of heart disease. half of all people that go to the hospital with heart attacks have normal levels of cholesterol.

the docs pimp out cholesterol as some kind of measure because the drug companies can make billions lowering cholesterol - even if it makes little difference to one's health.
