Hugh, I don't buy that, you can get rid of any program if it is unpopular. You are missing the fact that some people who are uninsured today would end up with health insurance paid by someone else - free health insurance. You can't take that away. That much you should understand at this point in 2008. Just look at the federal budget - ome 3.1 trillion. It is a collection of things given away for free (passed by Democrats) that Republicans could not undo, take away. Even when Republicans controlled all branches of government. Nationalizing 15% of the economy with no way back is too much of a risk. Joe
