What prompted me to discuss this was a real estate agent sending me a list of homes sold in my community. The price of a home similar to mine went for 25% less than a similar house a year/year 1/2 ago. Building was booming here back then and i expected this kind of drop but fyi i am not living in vegas or florida either. My daughter lives in a home that she paid 350k for and immediately went up over the next 6 months to about 450, now back to 350-400. Thats also a sizable percentage drop. Folks who paid the 450 are now in the hole and if they cant sell and God forbid lose a job, they might also be defaulting on their not sub prime loans.
