However, off the top of my head - here are a couple reasons to vote for McCain against either Hillary or Obama: 1) Supreme Court appointments: Hillary or Obama can be counted on to appoint ACLU type liberal judges. Stevens and Ginsburg will be replaced for sure. One can say, well two liberals replacing two liberals - what's the difference? But consider Scalia and Kennedy will be 77 in 2013. Will they both be on the SC at the end of the next Presidential term? If either of them don't last till 2013, the SC will get a sharp liberal tilt. Liberal judges are likely to discover constitutional rights to gay marriage, polygamy, group marriage, to gay service in the military, universal health care, universal day care, and universal who knows what. Religious liberty, property rights, freedom of speech will be threatened more than they are now. Consider that already Catholic charities have been kicked out of the adoption business in Massachusetts, religious property has been denied tax exemption in NJ over failure to allow gay marriage on the property, Boy Scouts have been kicked off public property including military bases because they wouldn't allow a childless gay guy in his 20's to be a scout leader in NJ. Look for adoptions to be eventually denied to Christian couples (they have hate literature aka the Bible in their home after all), bans on blood donations by sexually active gay donors to be struck down, groups like the Salvation Army to be kicked out of the relief and service business or denied tax exemption, religious ministries to be kicked out of prisons, and more. 2) Fairness Doctrine McCain has opposed, Hillary and Obama can be counted on to be sympathetic to bringing this back. Say good bye to conservative talk radio and Fox News, at least as it is now. But we can be assured the liberal MSM and NPR will not be impacted. Its conservative speech that will be branded unfair and hobbled. Liberal speech will be presumed objective and moderate. These things resonate with me so I'll be voting against the Democratic candidate whoever that means I have to vote for.
