<Bernanke might not have a clue.> Bernanke needs to go spend about the next month with a typical median income family in his little hometown in SC. (forget the exact name, just know the general decrepit area) He needs to live with them, in their cramped little house, shop at the Food Lion for whatever cheap groceries are on sale, chose which monthly bills to pay out of their checking account and which get 'deferred' til next month, and attend thier schools. That would improve his outlook and his perception of the real world. Might even give him some urgency. I think Bernanke (and the whole bunch of the Fed Fools) have forgotten what it looks like outside of the ivory tower inthe big city.
