against a person who betrays conservative principles

I think SOME conservatives are focused on the election being a way to penalize McCain for perceived incorrect positions or some past actions....

...but the election is about much more than just the potential for McCain pay-back. The consequences of the election are very important. It bothers me that SOME people are more interested in negative ideas that sound like revenge at the expense of things that are much more important.

Everybody that is motivated by McCain pay-back should think about who they may be harming with their desire to stick it to McCain.

Similarities between McCain and LBJ?

Choose a senator as VP? Graham, Gramm, Brownback, Lieberman, Martinez

(LBJ chose Humphries)

Support the war

(for awhile)

Support the Great Society

(read illegal immigration)

(flip flop - Now sez he will build the wall etc.)

Oppose reducing taxes

(flip flop - Now sez he will support permanent tax reduction)

Quit after one term

(We will have to wait and see)

There is more...

I'm waiting to see some sincere leadership from him which clearly expresses a set of promises and commitments in regard to conservative thinking and principles.

So far, the best he has mustered is Rodney King's, "Can't we all get along". And asked all conservatives to "calm down" like he speaking to a first grade class. He has to do better than that if he wants to bring the conservative base to his side.
