1) "none of the stuff was illegal at the time" - it was all illegal in the US without a doctor's scrip but it was not banned by baseball.

2) for a pitcher, bulk doesn't enhance performance, but recovery ability does, so they were enhancing performance. You and I have different definitions of performance.

3) I believe people should be able to put whatever they want into their bodies, but I still don't agree with you that there is a distinction between what Clemens and Pettite did and what any other athlete did viewed in terms of how their reputations should be perceived.
