Bart, do you think the large drop in gold stocks as the sp500 rallied in 74-75 was causally linked, ie, the flight to safety reversed when the sp500 started to rise, and money flowed out of gold back into stocks and bonds? or was the decline in gold related to the price controls put in place at about that time?

seems like it was probably a causal link with the sp action, and if so, we might expect a similar result this time.
