There's a funny story about the debates..Jonathan Tasini who used to be president of the writer's union, a highly articulate person, anti-war, anti-Nafta, etc, challenged her in the 2006 NY senate race and wanted debates..Howard Wolfson kept saying, "let's see how the campaign progresses." Well, Hillary out-raised and machined Tasini, they never debated. He shared that nugget today upon hearing Hillary wanted more debates with Obama.

Thing is she may make this a bad PR deal for Obama depending on how he handles it?

More importantly, Clinton wants the debates because it gives her free media attention in a time when she has a money crunch. That's what is really going on. Obama is smart. He's making her spend money she doesn't have.
