Congressmen smart? Talk about an oxymoron. They are dumber than rocks. I remember the guy on the Floor talking about drilling more diesel fuel wells. The look on the faces of those present indicated they didn't find anything odd about his comments.

Dumber than rocks. As I read recently, the only thing they know how to do is get elected. After that it's all over for their abilities.

There's an effort underway to have "Science Debates" in future elections. In this forum, the candidates are asked their view on scientific issues that might affect policy.

Pretty important that candidates have basic understanding here, given scientific concerns shape so much of our lives.

And, of course, it would be a real hoot watching these morons wrestle with the questions. Sort of like watching a chimp ponder differential equations.
