By the way, I purposely pulled into an Exxon station today because of their stance toward that tyrant.

I refuse to patronize Exxon because of their conduct WRT the Exxon Valdez litigation. 19 years after the spill, they continue to throw their weight around, delaying as much as possible paying the damages they have been determined to owe.

Not a good corporate citizen IMO.

(I buy my gas at the local Farmer's Co-Op)

you basically helped your local neighbor who runs the exxon station. the gasoline he sells covers his/her overhead to operate the station. Same with the citi guy.

i expect if xon could sell off its stations to a well financed buyer they would get out of the business. More and more stations are continually sold to distributors and awarded long term supply contracts so they can continue to keep these stations in operation.
