Or you can leave the school system. There are private schools - secular and religious - and home-schooling.

But a lot of people are prejudiced against such choices.

Running away is a solution, the solution of those with no hope and gloom and doom as the normal mindset. The solution of the an American is looking on how to repair what is broken. Fix the product and fix the process of making the product.

There are many things broken in the world. The place where feet define where the most solutions are, is America. the land of the free and the land of opportunity.

Brownian motion, it gives such insight.

It's the natural role of a parent to worry about such things.

It is our responsibility as parents not only to provide beneficial things to our children but to guide them in becoming courageous successes as they grow and develop. In other words, it is to share a beneficent regard for their well-being. Why would we authorize the State to ignore that, or remove that level of involvement?

The location for the center of the Parent/Child universe lies at the crossroads of a parent's encouragement and a child's curiosity. Behind language and at the edge of communication lay understanding, the natural striving to renew your self, to grow beyond your current state, to be a part of something meaningful, and to genuinely belong is inherent in the motivation to learn.

I've been involved at every level of the American Education system and endemic to the story of every successful child is the presence of a parent advocate.
