The main problem is spending. Just like most Americans, Congress and the White House needs to figure out how to live within their means.

Suze Orman on CNBC has the right idea when it comes to the "economic stimulus" checks. Save the money. Pay down debts. Things are going to get a lot worse before they get a lot better. Just because government can't figure out how to save for a rainy day doesn't mean ordinary citizens can't.
