What's really sad is these people just don't get it. Don't want to get it is probably more apt. I believe most Americans are just fine with immigrants. Of the type that come here legally, papers in hand, and ready to pitch in.... The media, lawyers, etc would love to have them believe otherwise, that Americans are anti-immigrant, racist, and all sorts of other things. If they would all go home, and wait till Congress secured the borders, and had expanded immigration rules, we'd all be better off....
