my sense of the canadian picture for pdl it that they are relying on the planned startup of the "offset highgrade zone" to replace declining production in the underground roby zone. i do not see a lot of long life predicitions for sources of palladium that they are presently mining.

so what i think is the hidden value is finland. and i like that it is more platinum than palladium.

also, there is a news element for 2008 from the finland deal. even though you do not hear pdl talking much about now, they are anxiously awaiting a feasibility study in august, that is key to their grabbing the 50 percent with gold fields.

so i think looking forward, we have two big items on the agenda for this company: a. improved profitablity in canada brought on by higher palladium price and platinum price. b. the announcement that they are into something more solid and really really big in finland.

by the way, there is further info on the finland deal in the prospectus of december. but even then, i did not find it as revealing as that press release that gfi and the finnish company simultaneously released back in 2002.
