I agree that if govt bond fails then one needs to turn the lights off. But the world is not black and white.

Much more, those ones which are too big to fail, will weather the storm but small ones can be very prone to sudden deaths.

Those ones are in a precarious situation, being "fully invested" and no cash on hand, will fail before things turn to the better.
That´s the big risk besides that this is a major distraction for any nonfiancial company and impairs the company development.
