Maybe yes, maybe no.

But regardless, the GOP seems to have come up with it's strongest possible candidate (out of the field that was running)... since --- for well over a year now --- all national polling has clearly shown in head-to-head match-ups with any of the Dem candidates, that McCain polled stronger then all of the other Republicans running for the nomination.
