Re:"Such on topic analogies push home the problem with those that like to disregard the law. And if you don't think its analogous, taking $30 from buyers for each of 200 million computers a year is $6 billion in theft annually. Since an average US worker earns about $37K a year times 50 years equals $1.85 million. Round that up to $2 million and the theft equals the lifetime earnings of 3K US workers each year.

You dislike hearing about 5 deaths, what about 3K deaths per year? And another bad thing is that people have been killed for less than $73 as it happened here during a robbery and murder of a Miller Brewing executive a couple of weeks ago. So I'm being generous at $2 million a life."

Then why didn't Michael Milken receive the death penalty for stealing a half a billion dollars? Money does not equal lives (directly). Money stolen does not necessarily equal death and you fail to substantiate such causal proximity with that claim. That's why thieves are called thieves and murders are called murders.

If Intel harmed AMD, I don't think it killed anyone. Surely you wouldn't rather have 6 people die more than Intel taking advantage of AMD's lower market position. So equating these two ideas is rather obscene. You did say Intel stole enough money that they essentially have killed 3,000 workers a year, right? So I guess 6 people dying is surely preferable to 3,000 a year dying.

I believe you are on the right side, but the cognitive dissonance I have to endure reading your posts over the years is nearly as obscene. Saying what Intel is doing, which I think is egregious, is equivalent to mass murder is going too far. So by your logic, every year Intel commits a 9/11?

Are you really serious?

I realize I am adding nothing to the discussion and will refrain from posting, but I just couldn't let this go by.
