Don't be silly, The cooler they used does not come with any AMD product. The fact that they chose to use it doesn't reflect the quality of that CPU in any way.

Wow, they took a Phenom that runs at a stock 2.3GHz and managed a MAX overclock of 2.5GHz. Not even a 10% overclock. It mirrors what you see on the XS boards, the vast majority can't break 2.6GHz. That is unbelievably bad overclocking performance.

The Phenom has no headroom. AMD is pushing the Phenom almost to its limits just to reach the pathetic stock clockspeeds it is at. There isn't a single current Intel processor that overclocks so badly, indeed there isn't a single current Intel CPU that doesn't do several times better.

The Phenom is an utter and complete failure.

Re: still buy it.

Dude, you are so missing the point. The cooler was the size of your head.

Seriously, you are missing the point. Do you think anyone really notices, much less needs, the last 10% or 20% of a modern CPU?
