Lots of candidates from BOTH Parties have changed their positions/beliefs over time.

Changing one's mind about something because of gained knowledge or experience is an indication of an open mind and even wisdom.

In Romney's case, he changed virtually ALL his positions in a rather short period of time and they just COINCIDENTALLY happened to change to exactly the positions that would appeal most to the constituents that he was seeking to vote for him.

What I find most telling about Romney is that not only did the voters not like him....even the guys that were running against him couldn't stand him.
