I doubt it. The American people are sick of Iraq. It wasn't the "good" war WWII was- it was the "stupid oopsie I made a mistake" war.

When the war is bad, the permanent bases taken as spoils from the war look less benign. It's sad that we've wasted our time in Iraq, but we probably have. I don't think McCain's line will play well to Americans. It's just not what they want to hear. I welcome McCain trying to win on that line- cause I would love him to keep reminding people he thinks we'll be there for 100 years. That alone might win the election for the Dems. GOOOOOOOOO John.
