It is insane that they need an anti-trust exemption. The Yankees and the Twins aren't competitors like Best Buy and Circuit City are. They are partners in an entertainment enterprise. The government should have no more say in how employees are deployed in that enterprise than they do in IBM's decision to transfer a manager from Rochester to Armonk. Or Disney taking an actor off one movie and moving her to a different one.

Baseball's competitors are any business after the public's discressionary dollars.
