I state the obvious: Tax and spend is NOT fiscal conservatism.

The "obvious" is that that is was the government does... "tax and spend".
The second "obvious" is that if they spend more than they tax, then that is "NOT fiscal conservatism."
The third "obvious" is that the issue to each side is WHAT the government spends it's money on, not how much it spends. All the "conservative" Rep candidated wanted to increase military spending... as last man standing McCain does.

So what's really obvious is this 'holier than thou' Republican "fiscal conservatism" is a boatload of crap. They just want to spend more on THEIR stuff, which should be obvious after the last 7 years.

So you asked me to give you a line item listing of the budget? I'm not going to post that here. Do your own research at the US Treasury's website. I don't get your point.

Tax and spend is absolutely conservative. You don't spend unless you tax more or you cut from somewhere else. That is how American households work and it is how our government should work. I'm not an advocate for massive spending. Never have been. I don't believe in a large government or socialization of alot of aspects of our lives. But I do believe in our Democracy. If the majority of people want a bigger government, then I'm willing to live with that, AS LONG AS THEY DON'T FORCE US ALL INTO DEBT TO PAY FOR IT. So in that case, if that's what we all decided, then raising taxes has to follow or cut spending elsewhere. End of story.
