Enforced altruism - sometimes necessary to make it happen. But most 20-somethings could give up a couple hours of playing XBox to do something that benefits the community.

I think he is making an appeal to getting people off the idea that every thing is free and that government is handing out welfare with no thought of pay back.

My nephew went to college on a loan. Last I heard he still had not paid back the government. It upset my brother... a conservative Republican immensely and it disturbed me..

Of course I have since learned that George is a taker.. He is supported by his wife's father. Where did that Gene come from?
