Yes they made these fine CPUs, P3-1.13GHz, P4s that needed a turbine to cool, Pentiums that couldn't divide right and Merced Itaniums that were so bad that no one wanted them. They make CPUs and some are fine and others are a POS.

I have heard similar statements for IBM CPUs, Sun, Tandem, DEC, Motorola and yes, AMD. And I have heard of horror stories for each too. I have seen an Intel server literally burn up after a CPU upgrade. I guess Mr. Derosier doesn't have the experience, he just forgets the problems that have occurred or he blamed them on things other than the CPU. He also could just be buying those Intel CPUs that have been out for a few years. By that time, most of the bugs have been worked out and when they aren't, he just doesn't buy them.

Like others have said, a sample of one doesn't mean much.
