If fairness, GZ, it is not just "hatred" of Bush, it is the sheer incompetence of his administration that has everybody wanting some kind of change. Had it been Dole, or McCain or Gore instead of Bush the last eight years, (with similar results) it would have been the same at this point. Everybody wants "a change" from the administration that gave us incompetence in fiscal matters, execution of the post-war period (did you see the Rand report...calling the Iraq post-war period the worst in American history?), 3 trillion dollar budgets, huge deficits, massive spending, seeming unawareness of what is going on around him...

Honestly, I think the question of whether Mr. Bush or Mr. Carter will go down as the worst President in the last fifty years will be honestly debated. Especially if we find out over time that our spending and borrowing policies have weakened us vs. China and the rest of the world to the point where we suffer long-term consequences.

A person can just want a change, and be a conservative, and be tired of Mr. Bush.........who is NOT a conservative.

Re: "Because of such liberal hatred of Bush...."

I thought it was the True Conservatives who hated him (Liberals mostly like the bigger government he has bequeathed them) --- for very nearly *doubling* the entire national debt in just two terms, hollowing-out the economy, and running a tab of $200 Billion per year for open-ended and counter-productive foreign occupations and another $200 Billion per year just in INTEREST on the surging national debt....

If attacked by terrorists, Obama will fight back harder and smarter, that is smarter , than the current dufus and his band of monkeys.
