fmike, 1) Not sure, but I think state filing is technically required if you own enough shares to get over the particular state's filing threshold, and the K-1 shows positive taxable income (LINE's do not). 2) Can't help you there. I never rely solely on any broad-based service for key stats, I always check them out for myself from the raw data. 3) Good point, I haven't thought about it. The US MLP/LLC sector is a tiny sliver of the overall US E&P sector. For awhile it looked like it would get a lot larger but given the recent announcements of companies cancelling IPO's of MLP's this no longer looks to be the case. So you are only talking about 10 companies, tops.
