I don't know about the republicans.

Fascinating phenomenon.

Republicans are permitted to ignore fiscal responsibility and create whatever level of deficit they wish with minor criticism.

It is an integral part of the instant gratification, "me first" philosophy that is ingrained in their DNA.

As long as they are able to benefit from unrestrained government spending and a minimal tax levy, they have no qaulms about shifting the burden to unborn generations.

There has always been a "let somebody else pay" quality about how the GOP has done business.

The fact that they will never have to face who they are screwing makes it even easier to renounce paygo.

The question now is does the country have the wherewithall to save itself from the fiscal suicide that these self centered policies will/are causing?
