That might be a good thing. We might need to use these techniques when interrogating the bankers, investment brokers hedge funds etc. about their dealings concerning the financial mess we're in. It may be our only way to get at the truth.

Mukasey won't come out and call waterboarding illegal because that would lead to charges against the bush cronies. But this is just delaying the inevitable. There WILL be charges against Bush and his cronies for waterboarding eventually. Probably on Jan 1, 2009.
