My thought process is this.....and I don't sound like much of an open market guy but here goes

The lending institutions lowered standards and allowed people that didn't qualify to borrow money. Rates have come down but they haven't come down in equal percentage terms as FF have. Furthermore they've raised their standards for refi's. Personally I think they should be forced to allow refi's at lower rates for everyone. They shouldn't be allowed to raise standards in mid disaster! They made this situation - now play a role in cleaning up the mess and drink your vinegar
