Buffett gets a lot of income and lowers his tax rate because of Muni Bonds. Are you suggesting we make muni bonds taxable?

Buffet (and others) get a lower tax rate because of all dividend tax rates. Munis are a small part of it. Essentially wealth (passive dividends) gets taxed at a lower rate than work (wages).

Why is that?

Buffet claims he doesn't do anything fancy or obscure. He doesn't use any exotic shelters or scams. He says he deliberately just follows the tax code as written, and doesn't structure what he does for the taxes he'll pay at the end of the year.
