I've used it for "cradle cap" on infants. This is an autoimmune problem and the flaxseed oil is safer regarding assimilation of the infant neurological system vs Hydrocortisone as prescribed by far too many MD's.

I've used it for an eczema type of rash I had for nearly a decade as the heater of 2 of my cars forced the hot air directly to my shins. Each winter I got dry flaky skin with intense itching that caused bleeding.

I used a foam brush and painted my legs with the liquid for a few weeks and I've never had a relapse. This was almost 13 years ago.

I have no clue about brown spots other that fine laser treatment and then I would use flaxseed as the ointment of choice after the treatment.
