I had written a couple of responses to people- including your post- but have deleted them after getting Rick Benfield's post.
I was curious enough about the reaction from the people I know here to post an official's congressional letter that offered different rationale. I believe I was polite, and rather non-committal. So being told I am part of the problem---
well, I guess I am just tired of that kind of ugly reaction.
Thanks to those who at least offered some basis for their disagreement with Reyes.

the house will only react when they feel the heat, like losing votes. something like building the wall between us and mexico. it changed the bill but it sure as hell didn't get the wall moving alone. congress out waits the public and does as the money coming into them tells them.
