nd no I hadn't heard of what's his face before. That is irrelevant. It is not my interest to study terrorists. Do you think it is impressive that you can dredge up some wack job to be afraid of?

That's like saying that there would have been no use for anybody to have heard of Osama bin Laden before Sept 11, 2001. It's nice that you think you don't have to take an interest in terrorists, but I have a news flash for you, buddy - they take an interest in you.

Imad Mughniyeh was no "wack job". He was the military operations head of Hizbullah, and had a long string of accomplishments, including

1. Blowing the US Embassy in Beirut
2. Blowing up the French paratrooper and Marine barracks in Beirut
3. Blowing up the Jewish community center in Buenos Aires
4. Kidnapping and killing scores of Westerners in Beirut in the 1980s
5. Hijacking TWA 847
6. Building Hizbullah into a state within a state that is now poised to conquer all of Lebanon
7. Training the Moqty al Sadr's army to kill Americans in Iraq
8. Training Sunni insurgents to kill Iraqis & Americans in Iraq and facilitating their journey through Syria into Iraq
9. Rearming Hizbullah after its war with Israel in 2006

...and that's just for starters - this is the stuff that we know about. Only the experts can guess what else he did and was planning to do. Imad Mugniyeh killed more Americans than Osama bin Laden, and he was more dangerous than bin Laden, according to all experts on Mideast terrorism. That's not counting the tens of thousands Iraqis and Lebanese he killed.

I heartily congratulate whoever managed to take him out, and I hope the reports that it was the Mossad are correct.

But don't you tell me that because you choose to be ignorant of known dangers, they don't exist. You would have equally mocked any warnings about Al Qaeda and called Osama bin Laden a "wack job" before the 2001 attacks.
