I believe the Canadian Dollar has been controlled to prevent a rise fostered by commodities exports. They cannot afford to cut down US trade.

The rise to 1.10 freaked them out.

Then they appointed the fellow that engineered the shafting of the Can Roy owners as head of their central bank. CDollar has been behaving much better since then (in their eyes)... but not so good for investment as a foreign currency...

Yes I agree with you. I've said it many times. BTW China has recently surpassed us as the US largest trading partner. and is now our second largest..
