Obama is the greatest US leader in our lifetimes, perhaps. His kind comes along once a century. I underestimated him at first, but he really does have it. I have not met a single Republican who dislikes him or can think of anything honestly bad to say about him. All they do is trash Hillary, never Obama, because they can't do it with a straight face though some of them are tempted to make racist taunts.

Reagan, JFK and Clinton also ran on change/hope and a new day.
They were also great inspirational speakers and not policy wonks.

Obama is young, but in time he may surpass all three of them. In any case, Caroline Kennedy is right. It's not the issues or policy wonk details, it's the inspiration, and after 7 years of Bushie corruption, this country is ready for major change.
