Privatization is much worse and much more costly and inefficient than well-run public programs. You can see it clearly in how Clinton waged a war against Milosovic without privatizing the military and won it in days without a single US casualty. And Bush-Cheney privatized and got us bogged down in a swamp of corruption, murderous abuses and profiteering, costing us over 4000 lives, 25,000 wounded, 2000 suicides and a trillion dollars in wasted money.

If you want to trust your life and security to corporations whose only goal is to profit from you as much as possible, that's your perogative. But the reason Social Security is so beloved is that it worked for everyone without profit being taken out.

Every industrialized country in the world has government-regulated health care except the USA, and ours is the most expensive by far and also sliding to #31 in the world. The rich have great health care. ALmost everyone else is getting a terrible deal.
