Cary, I agree with you on the growth estimates put out there by analysts. They do tend to "move" all over the place. The only thing that I have found them useful for over the long term is an indication of the negative or positive outlook by the analysts. Lately, most of the growth estimates have been trending downward indicating the negative outlook for the "semi" sector(s).

I looked at the actual long term growth data for both the Group and the SOX. I did as you suggested and made a couple of more columns for the data. I was surprised at many of the numbers. I am posting both tables below using the sort column as the actual 5 year PEG data.

I think these charts are more "one of a kind" information posted at periodic intervals as opposed to every week. The 5 year data is "all over the place" and can be used for reference in the above tables. The estimated growth data, while not very believable in some cases, can be used to document the outlook of the analysts on a weekly basis.
