I can remember cleaning some pretty small fish when the girls were young. My youngest and I were out in the spring fishing crappies. Suddenly her bobber goes down and I help her reel it up snug and tell her to set the hook. She does, damn near flies out of the boat and the drag is screaming and the fight is on. About 4 minutes and up to the boat she hauls about a 6 lb largemouth. Biggest thing she's ever caught. Problem is it's April and season doesn't open to May. No matter how I tried to explain that she would have the picture, that wouldn't cut it. After I put it back in the lake she slammed her pole down and said I'm all done. She was about 6 and I think she was 12 or so before she ever fished with me again:)
