There is no link for the idiots lies. Never is. He is a product of the tape recorder generation. They hear they repeat as fact. I searched the Canadian Veteran's Affairs sites and there is nothing about free houses. There was a time as was in the USA that returning veterans were provided housing projects in which they all related to each other. All services. Block parties and a consciousness of the meaning of brotherhood. That wasn't the intention of the provisions, but the result.

There were also veteran mortgage programs that were a bit better than than what was offered to the public. Both countries, Canada and the USA took pride in the in those people...for a time that diminished with more time.

I would love to have the poster provide free homes details.

I lived in one of those Veterans Housing Projects. It was great for me as a child, but visiting it in ruins, I realized it was just old barracks, broken up, heating was from a furnace in the tiny living room that consisted of a 55 gal drum
within a sheet metal enclosure. It provided hot air with fuel oil or kerosene. We used the areas where the barracks were stripped as roller skating areas.

However, the whole community played baseball and went to church in a little building of the same construction. It was terrific for me. I traded and flipped cards with the other kids. Always thrilled when a Yankee card came up with the pack. I would save my money from turning in bottles til I had a dollar and my dad would get me a silver dollar at the bank on Friday.

I have little doubt it could have been better for me. I learned a lot about my dad and the other dads. They were all different, but all had heart. That is what is missing from many posters here.

I could go on and on with the little adventures I had as a kid there. Finding the unusual things and the common and being equally amazed at each. I knew I never had to be rich. I new I would survive against any circumstance. I got that from my dad and the other dads. They were Navy, Marine Corps, Army Air Corps, Army and even a Coast Guard family.

Where my dad worked we had picnics and Christmas Parties.

I had a great life as an economically poor child, but I had a rich life as a kid.

I don't know if you can prove your claims of free homes, other than that for the crippled, that being a hospital. However, I am sure Canada treated their Veterans well.

I wish everyone had the benefit of being a poor child in a Veterans Housing Proje Project in the USA. I think the greatest reason is they will never forget who they are and who came before them. Too many people want to think we should be who we could dream to be. I just want to be me.

I remember I saw a kid on the bus when I was in 1st grade. He had a catchup spot on his white shirt. I felt bad for him and gave him a toy of mine. Turns out he was very rich, but his parents didn't care about catchup stains. They invited me over for lots of good times.

Well, I guess I have gone beyond the simple perry and thrust of the chatter and if I bored you, I wish I hadn't.

I have done many things and I have creamed and scared people in my home at night. I regret that, but when you live certain things, you know what is right and wrong. You realize if it is important. I prefer to scream and scare as I relive something, than to falsely comfort anyone into believing that the potential of evil or simply overwhelming force is not there.
