I'm naturally very low in bad cholesterol and high in good- so this is not a worry for me- but I do eat a lot of nuts and olive oil, along with the butter :-)

I think we probably all have very different dietary needs based upon our unique genetic backgrounds. The trick in life is finding what you can eat, and what it is enjoyable to eat- and trying to make that in to a personal lifetime plan for healthy eating.

All these diet books, and doctor's remedies, are so "one size fits all"- and if there is one thing wrong with the way we look at eating in the US, it's this outlook. One way does NOT fit all- we are all unique, and we have unique dietary needs.
