There is no making peace with Sunni fundamentalists. Their entire ideology is based on the conflict between Dar al Islam and Dar al Harb. We're Dar al Harb.

The only choice with them is between hot war and cold war. You can negotiate the occasional hudna, but both sides must be aware (their side certainly is) that the hudna will last only until one side thinks they have more to gain by an attack.
