The point is to slow down enough so you can turn correctly if needed. In the case of AGW, that means slowing CO2 production to the point where your model accuracy allows reaction time given the CO2 "speed" you are proceeding at. That is not at all like turning incorrectly.

Alternately increase your confidence in your model results to allow continuing at full speed. Your approach is to proceed at full speed and assume the road is straight. Not a wise assumption.
