Well, Obama DID plagarize. Maybe with permission, but a more experienced candidate would have remembered Joe Biden's troubles.
All he had to do was to throw in a, "as my good friend, Duvall Patrick said" and he'd be completely OK.


I disagree. He was using a form of delivery to make a point; not plagiarizing a speech. After all..."I have dream"; "I pledge a allegiance to the flag", etc.....are common phraseology in American culture and used in speeches all the time.

Having said that, referencing Patrick would have prevented this molehill. Of course, you don't always remember all these niceties when talking in front of 20k adoring supporters.
