I laughed at him and his joke then. I'm not laughing anymore. Worse I'm not sure he wasn't on to something. He never laughed when we laughed by the way but maintained his grim face. He always maintained he wasn't trying to be humorous. We were fighting the cold war then and were up in the North Atlantic chasing Russians around and doing all kinds of things books are just today being written about. He always maintained we were worried about the wrong folks. Smart man Lt. Louche.
