ROFLMAO, did Less_ touched on a nerve? Are you saying there is no fundamental Jews? LOL Nadine, you are losing your touch. Fundamental Jews make Wahabbis look child's play.

I do know both and have come to understand the motives of both, I doubt seriously that you know and understand both. So such a criticism comes across as a little hypocritical. You know about Wahabis because you have been told about them, mostly by their enemies, not the same thing as knowing and understanding them.

The comment was not in the same breath but to demonstrate a point (which you spun to be about Israel) about the differences between a peace among brethren which would be genuine and the need to form peaceful alliances among nations where beneficial, even if they are transient ones. You are correct in your assessment that such alliances are for convenience up to the point that attacks are more in line with the interests of either. Israel was not the topic of that post but I understand your love for Israel and apparent need to come to her defense even when none is needed, even to a fault. However, that's the world we currently live in and in which Israel is a major player. Coming clean about that might help your credibility some but I also understand you may have reason for pretence on a thread like this one.

One could say that wahabbis are "zealots"...or even "siccari"

"Three most important precursors to modern terrorism
Zealots Siccari
Politically motivated – to remove Romans from Palestine, targeted Romans and Jewish collaborators (killings were so widespread they appeared untargeted)

They would wait for big events and assassinate a figure
Succeeded in creating a revolt, but the revolt itself was not successful

Most modern terrorist say they are acting on behalf of people, wanting to inspire them to rise up (similar to Siccari)

They also understood the need for mass publicity
What set them apart was their zealotry, burn their own food supply in order to display trust/devotion of protection of God

Assassins
Medieval, 11th-13th century
Similar to Siccari, would stab people in public place, wanting a larger audience and sympathy
Inspired by purifying Islam
Mixture of religious/political terrorism (prior to French revolution, every terrorist group had this mix)
Culture of martyrdom (would wait for the crowd to kill them after they killed); accused of being on hashish (where the word assassin comes from).
Managed to last for two hundred years
Thugs
Lasted 600 years
Dedicated to the goddess Kali
Only kill, non-European travelers, that they had befriended, not shedding their blood, and the slower the more painful the death the more impressed they thought Kali would be
The Tokyo sarin gas group leader was also a follower of Kali, note: they targeted travelers and by not shedding blood........."
